            Ms. Neeta Gupta, Director of Prosecution, Govt. of NCT of Delhi had completed her schooling from Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Ashok Vihar, Delhi. She pursued her graduation in B.SC (Home Science) from Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi in the year 1986. She did her LLB from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in the year 1989 and LLM from Kurukshetra University, Haryana.

            She was enrolled as an advocate in the Bar Council of Delhi in the year 1989 and began her practice at the District Courts and also at Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. She is the topper of 1996 Batch and joined Directorate of Prosecution as an Assistant Public Prosecutor at Tis Hazari Court Complex, Delhi in the year 1995-1996. Thereafter, she was promoted to the post of Additional Public Prosecutor in the year 2005, serving primarily before Sessions Court where she specialized in handling cases of murder, NDPS, MACOCA, POCSO and other cases of similar nature. She also worked as DDO from January  2015 to December 2017. 

            Since August 2019, she worked as Chief Prosecutor and also rendered her services at Rohini Court Complex, Patiala House Court Complex, Rouse Avenue Court Complex, Dwarka Court Complex and she remained Member Secretary of Witness Protection Committee, Member of District Victim Compensation Committee. Legal Expert for District Advisory Committee under PC and PNDT Act. Member of DLSA Delhi, Member of Under Trial Review Committee and Senior Most Member of Committee for disposal of decided cases.

            During her tenure as Chief Prosecutor, she represented the Department on various forum.

            On 10.02.2025, she assumed the post of Director of Prosecution, Govt. of NCT of Delhi and presently working in the capacity of Head of Department.
